Technology

Technology has reflected a lot in my education, starting from when I was in elementary school. We started out by playing some games in the computer like pinball or others, and as time went by we started experimenting more with computers. When I was in like 4th grade we learned the basics from Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; and later on we moved on to experimenting with these 3 programs on our own. Ive been in the American School for 14 years now, and since I was young technology has been present in my education.

Once I entered junior high the use of technology was even more important because essays and other assignments required the use of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. In our computer classes the use of technology increased a lot, we learned how to use Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Typing master, notepad, and Image ready. I remeber a few projects we had to do in this class, one of them was a web page on evolution, and we also had a several on photoshop that dealed with changing our looks. I remember these projects because I learned a lot from them and I had lots of fun too.

There were several times in the last years in which i think teachers could have assinged more things that dealed with technology. For example in projects of chemistry or biology we could have made web pages or animations of some topic in any of these two classes. Instead of using clay or other materials for 3-D projects of cells or any other topic, we could have used technology to make as i said before animations of web pages. I think the teachers never included that much techonology in their lessons because they dont know how to use it very well. In conclusion, technology has reflected a lot in my education, but I could have a better use and understanding of it if we would have used it more in the past years.
